Within the past ten years Cook's have added a new Pouch
machine and upgraded processing equipment. A new line of
Cook's Supreme Ice Cream and Sour Cream are also recent
additions. Two new Tetra Rex packaging machines featuring
Tetra Pak technology are their latest acquisitions. Tetra
Pak is a world reknowned company developing new technology
and innovations for the dairy industry, with plants in 21
countries around the world. These remarkable Tetra Rex machines
quickly and efficiently open, fill and close folded 2 Liter
or 500 ml. cartons. All of the improvements and investments
mentioned above demonstrate Cook's Dairy Farm Ltd.'s ongoing
commitment to the people of S.W. Nova Scotia.

It takes 7 hours for all of the milk to travel through
the different processes, at the end of which hundreds of
cartons of 1%, 2%, 31/4%, chocolate milk, whipping cream,
skim milk, blend and sour cream have been produced under
the supervision of Quality Control Manager, Angela Muise.
Wednesdays are "juice" days at the plant, when the system
is used to produce a complete line of Cook's delicious juices.
At the end of the day all of the lines are washed and sanitized
and the refridgerated rooms are stocked full once again,
but not for long. As fast as they're made, Cook's products
dissappear onto the shelves of local stores where they travel
in turn to the homes of thousands of dedicated customers.
